Professional bio

After graduating in medicine from the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2011, I began my residency training at the Kantonsspital St. Gallen in anesthesiology, critical care and prehospital emergency medicine. I am certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, am an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor, and have worked as a prehospital emergency physician for Swiss Air-Rescue (REGA) and the St. Gallen ambulance service. In 2014, I completed the Swiss National Board Certification Examinations in Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation.

Following a year of internal medicine at the Kantonsspital Baden, I returned to the Kantonsspital St. Gallen in 2015 to continue my training in intensive care medicine and anesthesiology, as well as to pursue my interest in clinical research, completing rotations in pediatric anesthesia and intensive care medicine in the surgical and medical intensive care units.

In 2019 I moved on to the University Hospital Basel to complete my training in critical care medicine and anesthesiology, as well as to gain further experience in clinical research, and am currently working on the surgical intensive care unit.
